William Westeringh, Q.C. practises in the areas of product liability, aviation, mining, insurance and commercial litigation. He has appeared as counsel in mediations, arbitrations, and at every level of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Will has six years of experience as Managing Partner of the Vancouver office and is responsible for overall operations in that region. He strengthened the firm’s brand and reputation in Vancouver through sponsorship arrangements with the Vancouver Canucks, Ballet BC and UBC’s National Centre of Business Law. He currently chairs the Vancouver Managing Partners Committee (a committee consisting of managing partners at the larger Vancouver firms) and is an active member of the organizing committee for the annual CBA Law Firm Leadership Conference. In addition, Will has served as an adjunct professor at the UBC School of Law and as an instructor at the Professional Legal Training Program.
Will has been a supervising lawyer for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and has prepared papers for, and presented at, numerous Continuing Legal Education and industry programs.
In 2012, Will was appointed the honorary title of Queen’s Counsel, a recognition of his exceptional merit, contribution and professional integrity to the legal profession.
